Good morning, i’m writing you cause yesterday was testing the plugin on a web site and it fully worked, while this morning installing it on an other web site, i couldn’t edit any of the text.
Practically i’ve edited the text in the boxes and i’ve clicked save but when i check on the web page, no edits appear.
I tried also to delete the texts from all boxes but checking the page, all the default texts remain. This sound strange

I tried to delete cache, delete cookies, delete the plugin folder from ftp and re-install it but nothing has changed.

This problem appears on every browser also, may anybody help me ?

    Thanks in advance
    Greetings

  • Hi,
I once had this problem with another plugin and it was related to the wordpress database access. I could install a plugin (the copy of files on the server was OK) but any change in plugin settings was lost because the privilege of the user to access the database was not OK. I couldn’t find any other solution than reinstalling the whole site along with a new database.
    Hope this help.

Hi! Im having the same issue.. love the plugin but I cant change any text on it… Thanks!

    Hi everyone,

@dgoethals thanks for the answer. Unfortunately is not possible for me to unistall everything, i’ve checked the datatabse for the plugin tables but there aren’t, then i suppose that besides the folder in FTP called “gdpr-cookie-compliance” there are some other files in other directories that remain also after unistall.

I’ve tried to install the plugin on an other web site with different domain and hosting but i’ve got the same problem. Just installed it, went on the General settings page, edited one work of the defaul text, saved but nothing happens.

Might it be a bug of the plugin with the new version of WordPress ?
Or maybe is a permission problem, should i put either directories or files to 755 ?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using our plugin.
The plugin works fine with the latest WordPress version, you can try top update the plugin to the latest version, purge all the caches in the server and everything should work properly. If you still can’t edit the fields in the plugin, you can try to disable other plugins and you can try to edit the texts again. If you find any conflict with other plugins, please let us know.

    I hope this helps.
