I see a lot of other people posting with similar problems but couldn’t quite find a way to relate the replies to my particular issue.

I work for a non-profit organization and have some experience with website content management systems, but not a lot of experience with WordPress. I took over the management of our website after someone else set it up and left the organization. I think I’ve figured out most of how it works, with a few mysteries left to solve.

If you take a look at the main page of our site, there is a section on the right that shows a Donate button, lists the holidays during which we are closed, and shows a Google map pinpointing our location. It is this section that I cannot figure out how to edit. All of the other content on the website is either a page I can easily find and edit, or can be edited via the admin tools by clicking Appearance –> Customize.

    Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

OK, nevermind – finally found it. From the admin tools:

Appearance –> Customize –> Widgets –> Primary Sidebar –> Click the drop down button that says “text.” Then it opened up an HTML field where all the content is.

Gotta say I don’t like this system – it makes it really difficult to find things. Missing the old days of typing up my HTML and CSS in Notepad right now.
