Can't duplicate forms

  • We are running the latest version of contact form 7, but we can’t duplicate forms. If we duplicate a form, and save it, it just overwrites the original form sadly.

    We have also tried deleting the plugin via FTP, then re-installing it a fresh, but sadly it still doesn’t work.

    Can any offer any advice please?

  • This could be conflict between contact form 7 and other plugins or the current theme on your website.

    Some users have found a way around by changing their browser. Switch to Chrome and see if the problem would go away.
    However, if the problem persist, try these troubleshooting

    Step by step approach to problem solving

    1. Switch temporarily to a WordPress default theme (Twenty Eleven etc.) and see if the problem goes away.

    If it does, you’ve most likely got a problem with your current WordPress theme.

    If switching to default theme doesn’t help it could be one of the plugins you are using that is causing the problem.

    2. Disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7

    If doing that solves the problem, you can then add back each item – one by one, until you find the cause of the problem.

    So sorry I only just saw this suggestion, thank you ever so much for that, we haven’t had to duplicate any forms in a while, but it will come up again I’m sure so going to try the above see where we get. Thanks again.
