Maybe you have a security plugin installed that is writing an htaccess file somewhere?

No .htaccess files to be found.
But I am homing in on the problem. The server won’t default to “recognize all extensions” on the File Away created subs. I have to go in and manually refresh that on all the File Away created sub-directories and then all the uploaded files instantly become visible in front end and back end.
I’ll work w/ my provider and see if I can’t get that changed or get some code to add somewhere to automate it.
Thanks again for your prompt responses and for a nice plug-in.
    Best regards,
    BCC
