    Hi!

I’m having some difficulty to display the user name in my header. I inputted the shortcode into my menu and it produces a blank field in the menu that is linked but it does not show any text. I’ve used two sequences of shortcodes: 1) {user_avatar_small} {first_name} {last_name} which only produces the avatar without the user name and 2) {first_name} {last_name} which produces the link to the user page in the nav menu but the text itself is blank.

I’ve used the following pages from ultimate member to help set up this in my header:

I do have a transparent header so I doubt that would impact anything but I wanted to throw that out there. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Hello @mslaza77

I can;t reproduce this issue. Are you sure your user have first and last name? Please check this in admin area.

Also, try to do a conflict test – https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/96-how-to-do-a-plugin-theme-conflict-test.

    Regards.

Oh my gosh thank you I never set that during my test, I can’t believe that flew over my head.

When I use all three shortcodes is there any way to space out the elements a little more? Currently the avatar is flush on the left hand side of the first name. Also is there a way to set up the User Menu in that second support link I used in the original post into my Primary Navigation Menu?

Thanks so much for your help.

    Hello @

    1. You could use HTML tags and change CSS for them. For example <span>{first_name}</span>

    2. Sorry, not clear to me “Also is there a way to set up the User Menu in that second support link I used in the original post into my Primary Navigation Menu?”
