I created 2 Simple Sidebar widget areas, Test-1 and Test-2, and then added a different widget to each. In post admin mode I see the Simple Sidebars admin area, with its 2 drop-downs for Primary Sidebar and Secondary Sidebar. I see no way to display more than 1 of these new widget areas in the Primary sidebar. Is this plugin not capable of this?

My understanding of this plugin is that it should allow me to “create multiple widget areas, and assign those widget areas to sidebar locations within the Genesis Framework on a per post, per page, or per tag/category archive basis.”

Btw/ I’m running the latest version of Genesis (2.0.2) and the “News” theme, in case that matters.

Clarification: I see no way to display more than 1 of these new widget areas in the Primary sidebar AT THE SAME TIME.

Right. It only allows you to replace the default widget area with one of your custom widget areas.

I see. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

If it can only display ONE of these at a time, that should be in the description then. Otherwise we will drive ourselves CRAZY trying to figure out why these things don’t work and we will think WE have done something wrong!!! (I think I’ve just done that for a whole day)

Because theoretically you should be able to put two “widgets” in one “widgetized area” yes? or no…

Please update the description if that’s the case.

    Thanks!!!

Yes, you can. You can put as many widgets in a widget area as you want.
