Can't delete 'uncategorized' link in widget

  • hi,

    i’m trying to set up my right widget to be able to flow more like a menu layout but can’t seem to be able able to delete/hide the ‘uncategorized’ link so that I can put in sub-categories beneath the title. (In the case, i want to have the ‘my passion’ link directly under the ‘about the author’ title.

    the site is at https://npocrisis.com/bop/. it would be great if i could just go to menus>categories>click on the ‘uncategorized’box and delete it.

    any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

  • One option would be to go to Settings > Writing and choose a category other than ‘Uncategorized’ to be your Default Post Category. Then go to Posts > Categories and delete the ‘Uncategorized’ category.

    well, that didn’t work jackie. do you have a nother idea? the site is at https://npocrisis.com/bop/ for anyone that who wants to take a crack at it. thanks!
