Cant delete terms inside edited/delete and newly created taxonom with same name?

Not sure, for sure, what may be going on there.

It’s nothing we’re controlling or handling, I know that much.

Does the user you’re logged in with have the right roles/capabilities to manage terms? Possibly the manage_categories as a blanket capability.

Have you installed any other plugins that may be affecting term screens at all?

No.. it was working just fine.

But then I had to change the Age.. to age… lowercase.. i saved it.. but then I also had to update the plugin to new verison..

I noticed in the old version.. i was able to enter Age.. or Age”space”something..

And the new version auto fixes.. the capital with lowercase.. and adds a _..

So originally.. I made it with the version that allowed me to use uppercase and no _

I am wondering now if these are listed using the old slug, which is now no longer being registered, but are still in a way technically available in the UI. Thus, can’t do anything with them.

If you remember the old taxonomy slug, you should be able to get that re-saved by typing the slug somewhere besides that first field, and using your mouse/trackpad to paste it in. The name field uses keyboard javascript events to trigger the spaces and lowercase conversion. Alternatively, just disabling javascript in your browser temporarily would also allow for saving this, as JS isn’t required to save a post type/taxonomy.

This should get you able to re-register the taxonomy long enough to get those terms managed, and then re-deleted this capitalized/spaced taxonomy afterwards.

didn’t see your new replies until i posted that.

Database may be the best way to go too, specifically the wp_term_taxonomy table and the taxonomy column.

May just need to rename the old taxonomy to the new one, to get them editable.
