• Hey guys,

would you please help me with the following…

I deleted “Ajax Quick Subscribe” and I installed “Subscribe2.” Now the old list of subscribers shows up in Subscriber2 even though “Ajax Quick Subscribe” has been uninstalled. Howeverut it doesn’t see them as subscribers, and it doesn’t allow me to delete them. When I enter one of the email addresses in the field to delete subscribers and click on delete, I’m told that the the email address is not in the database. I tried uninstalling “Subscribe2,” but when I re-install it, the old Ajax list keeps reappearing. “Ajax Quick Subscribe” didn’t appear when checking the wp database, but “Subscribe2” did, and I deleted it in phpmyadmin.
Where is this old list stored and how can I delete it so that I can start fresh with “Subscribe2?”

    Thanks

  • Hi.
Did you make sure to delete all plugin files via FTP and to clear your cache? Also, sometimes plugins use dedicated tables on the DB, and sometimes they simply use wp_options. Open that table in phpMyAdmin and make sure there are no Subscribe2 or AQS entries in there.
That’s pretty much it since there are no other ways were the data could be stored.
    Cheers!

    Thanks for your reply Marventus.
I got rid of the reference in the database as you suggested, and problem is solved.

    Thanks again
