Every time I deactivate and delete the app, it comes right back when I refresh the page! It says the plugin was deleted but then it comes right back. And then I get about 10 emails per hour saying the update for the plugin failed. How do I permanently delete the plugin and stop these emails that are filling up my inbox??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @marilam1622,

deleting the plugin via the WordPress plugins overview should remove it. Do you get an error upon removing the plugin? If so, can you post the error here?

If deleting via the plugins overview does not work, you can manually delete the really-simple-ssl folder from the /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP. That will remove the plugin and should prevent the error.

    Hello @markwolters,

When I delete from the plugins section, it says “Really Simple SSL was successfully deleted”. Then when I refresh the page, it re-appears on my list of plugins! When I go to delete it or edit it via the File Plugin Editor, it says “File does not exist. Please double check the name and try again.”

And when I go back to plugins, it’s still there!

Overnight I received 9 notifications in my email inbox that the plugin failed to update.

    Hi @marilam1622,

Very strange, can’t say that I’ve ever seen this before. You could try removing the plugin via FTP instead (from the /wp-content/plugins/ directory), to see if that allows the plugin deletion to persist.

    Kind regards, Jarno
