Cant delete hreflang tags from certain pages

We’ve got some hreflang tags that need removing. I remove them, update the page and they keep coming back again! Could you please advise?
In fact, I have just deactivated and reactivated the plugin and now I dont see any options for hreflang tags at the bottom of the pages at all!
