Can’t Delete Blog

  • Using cPanel I deleted a blog from one of my domains. The deletion was successful according to cPanel. However, when I visit the domain without the “www” parts of the old blog appear, when I visit using “www.domain.com” all is okay. How can I correct this? Thanks!

  • Just delete all the wordpress files from the wordpress directory then go into phpmyadmin (in your hosting control panel) and drop whatever database the blog uses. Thats should do the trick. By the sounds of it you just deleted the www subdomain (yes www is a subdomain) and not the blog.

    TheT – Thanks for your response. All okay now!

    I started a blog a few weeks ago and then changed my mind about the title. I ended up starting another blog that I’m enjoying creating. But, I can’t get rid of the first one. I don’t remember the username and password I used when I created it. I can get into the Dashboard but I don’t see the “options” that is supposedly the place to deleted the blog.
    The name of the blog is ‘minneapolisteachers.org/wordpress”

    Please help me delete this because I keep getting email messages asking me to approve comments about viagra and other nonsense.
