I’m getting warnings about the plugin Google Tag Manager, but when I try to deactivate it, I get this message “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” How do I get rid of this plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Dear @jmriddles

Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you please delete the plugin via FTP access for now and tell us what WordPress version you’re running? That way we can test and try to recreate your issue.

    Kind regards

I deleted the folder for Google Tag Manager from my FTP. The plugin’s page in WordPress gave me the following message “The plugin simple-google-tag-manager/googletagmanager.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.” The message went away after the page was refreshed. Everything seems fine now.

    Current version of WordPress 6.0.2.

    Dear @jmriddles

Thanks for getting back to us. The error message was displayed because you deleted the plugin via FTP, that is ok. We will investigate this issue further based on your WordPress version and look into it, but will mark this ticket as closed in the meantime.

    Kind regards
