Can't deactivate plugin

  • Hi,

    I’m trying to update my version of wordpress and therefore deactivate all of my plugins. However, when I click ‘deactivate’ the Event Organiser plugin remains active.

    I tried to go ahead with the WP update and encountered issues with Events page, so I rolled back the update.

    Have you seen this issue before?
    Is there anything I can do short of removing the entire plugin?

    I’ve not. I would suggest first deactivating all other plug-ins and theme, and try-deactivating it then. Event Organiser doesn’t do much on ‘deactivate’ (as opposed to uninstall), and certainly doesn’t do anything that would prevent it from deactivating. So it sounds like perhaps another plug-in/theme is preventing the plug-in from deactivating.
