    Hi there!

I would like to ask some help.

I have W3 Total Cache on my wordpress site. (downloaded from WP plugin library) After activated the plugin I went through setup wizard and I had chosen the suggested options. However the site became slower and some creative elements did not shown. Then I activated html minify too. The creative element then did shown but the site was still slower then before.

I checked server side CPanel error log and since I activated the plugin I got hunderds of records of “Connection refused” around 30 records per second.

Then in W3 plugin settings I restored default settings. The records of “connection refused” stoped in Cpanel error_log but the site is still slow.

I tried to deactivate and delete the plugin but I can’t. Every time I got the same “There has been a critical error on this website.” message on the site and this on the Cpanel error log:

[12-Feb-2025 09:47:30 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function W3TC\emtpy() in /home/fima/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/Root_Environment.php:224
    Stack trace:

    7 {main} thrown in /home/fima/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/Root_Environment.php on line 224

I talked to my hosting provider. They said they didn’t see any server-side errors and they think it can be a hack of content managment system. They ran an imunify scan and couldn’t find any infected files, but this does not mean that some new vulnerability was not exploited.

I think W3 Total Cache plugin is craching my site and I can’t do anything with it.

Please if anybody has an idea help me:)

    Thank you!
