• So today I was trying to add a bunch of different plug ins and when ever I activated them, I could no longer customize my theme and edit the content of my website.

So I went to update wordpress thinking something might be out of date and upgrading it would fix it.

After updating it, I had the same problem as if I just activated a new plug in… I couldn’t customize my website. It would say “(mywebsite) is currently unable to handle this request” “HTTP error 500”

I changed themes and everything worked out fine. But I really want my original theme. Like very badly, after all I bought the pro version of it! So I messed around with it could figure it out, bit the bullet, deleted the theme, tried to redownload it, got some “file too big” error, deleted some images in the file to make it a smaller file size, was ale to upload the theme, but I’m at the same problem as I was before I deleted it and I still can’t customize it at all. Same error as before.

    I use IXWebHosting
I am very new to coding and all that so please dumb it down as much as possible.

if you purchased a “pro” theme, the bestplace for support is the vendor from whom you purchased it. There should be a “support” linkon their site.

I sent them an email and am waiting for a response. I was just posting this to see if I could get an answer to the problem sooner.

You didn’t provide us with a link to your site or the name of your theme, so there’s not a lot we can do other than offer some generic advice!

    Hello npindale,

If you are using the pro version of theme then it is always better to customize your theme by creating its child theme because even in future you get update of your theme you customization will never loss.If you want some guidance how to create child theme please follow below link OR if you want any further support with your parent theme only please try to connect with Theme support team.
