    Hi,

I’m trying to help out a client who has a custom built wordpress site. The default navigation menu in their theme does not work (I don’t know why or how the wordpress theme was built by their previous developers). I suggested they use Max Mega Menu so I intalled the plugin and created a menu. The Max Mega Menu functions okay but I can’t customize the look. It’s just the default black bar with white text.

When I go to edit or create a theme for the meda menu I cannot click on the customize tab. Clicking does nothing. Am I prevented from customizing for some reason? Thanks for any help. I’d simply like to make the bar white (no shading) and have the menu item text another color.

Note: I currently have the plugin disabled until I get feedback on this. Thanks again.

    Hi milauskas,

Are you editing the theme in the correct place? I ask because we do not have a “customize’ tab. You can find our theme editor under Mega Menu > Menu Themes.

If you still have problems then it sounds like a JavaScript issue, please try disabling all other plugins then see if starts working as it should.

    Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. I did mean that I can’t select the “Custom Styling” tab from withing Menu Themes. Should that tab be accessible to me? Right now the only tab in Menu Themes I can use is General Settings.

    Hi milauskas,

Yes, you should be able to select that tab.

First, make sure you’re using the latest version of Max Mega Menu (v2.7.1.X).

If it is still not working check your page for JavaScript errors:

    Hi,

Yes, we have the latest version (v2.7.1.2) and I checked my console (in both Firefox and Safari). I’m not seeing any errors.

We may have to live with this situation until my clients redo their website. Someone else developed it and I don’t want to do anything to the code to break it. At least I know I SHOULD be able to select Custom Styling. Thanks!
