• I am trying to update a website and I click on the “customize your site” button. once I click the link all I see is a blank screen with two blank columns where the features to edit would normally be.

I’ve tried deactivating each plugin individually and checking if that fixed it, it did not.

I have checked the other default theme available Twenty Twenty-One and that seems to work in the live preview, all the menus are there and I can see the customize features. So I figured it may be an issue with the theme we are currently using. I tried to install a new theme, but when I click on the install button it just loops indefinitely (Currently going on half an hour today)

    Howdy!

My first question on this would be if you have been able to see if there are any console errors or taken a look to see if any php errors are being generated?

I should probably mention I am very new to this. How would I look for those errors?

You can reach out to your hosting company and ask where the PHP error log is located. That location can vary by host.

As for the console error you can pull up the Developer tools of your browser. Most you can do by pressing the F12 key.
