Can't create same page/url

    Hi
    The software wont let me generate another page with the same URL. It would amend my url to “/links-3/” in this example, because before I had created and since deleted “/links/” and “/links-2/”.

    Where is the data being kept that tells WordPress that “/links/” and “/links-2/” are already in use?
    Or how may I get around this problem any other way?

    Did you empty the Trash? If not, the old links could be found there.
