can't create pages or posts

Update: just deactivated one network plugin again and now it shows the ‘All pages’ again. Yet creating new pages and posts still isn’t possible.

Update II: just found out that I also can’t set the anymore to ‘latest posts’ or ‘static page’. Simply can’t enter there anymore. Therefor I tried doing it though ‘customize theme’. After a long while it opens the customization setting, but it won’t allow me to change them,

Do you have any caching on the server? Did you turn on WP_DEBUG? Did you check the server’s error log?

So the test here would be to turn off both of those plugins. See if the error goes away. If so, turn on ONE. Test again. No errors? Turn it off and turn on the other.

If they BOTH work separately, turn them both on and see if it’s the combination there of ??

Try with a default theme then.

The point is I already tried all these things, but they don’t work. As I indicated in my request: ‘I tried loading another theme, I de-activated all plugins (both network and sub-site plugins) and I tried using different systems (laptop, ipad) and browsers (safari, opera, chrome).’

“Another” theme isn’t a default theme, though. It really does matter.

The last thing after that is this:

* Default Theme
* NO plugins (rename the folders, make sure you have nothing in mu-plugins)
* Delete wp-admin and wp-includes and reinstall the core files

I’ve been out a couple of days, so sorry for not repsonding. I guess I tried everything you sais. I used the default theme (both 22 and 24), I renamed all plugin folders and I re-installed WP. Even downgraded to 3.8. Nothing seems to help. Any other ideas?

I think we’re getting indeed very close to the solution of this problem. I replaced the posts file a short while ago, so there could be something wrong. I think it’s not the post_type nor status naming though. What I’ve done is I changed the URL’s after renaming the sub-site. DO you know how I can check the file for errors?

HOW? ?? How did you rename the subsite? How did you change the URLs?

I renamed URL’s in the DB itself. Because for some reason it didn’t work for the _post file I exported it, renamed the URLs in Excel and upload it again.
