    Update,
I’ve talked to the support team of the parent theme. They said the theme supports child themes so a plugin might cause a conflict. I’ve deactivated all the plugins one by one except child theme configurator but It still doesn’t work.

Sorry but I’m afraid your plugin caused the problem. I installed a different child theme plugin and it works just fine.

    BalazsTU,

Is this a network site (WP MU)?

If so, you have to network activate the child theme. See

This could have been caused by a number of things. Cheatin’ uh? can be caused by an illegal ajax request or a bad nonce, user capabilities among others.

We have a 100% track record of support resolution but this request was only up for 3 hours before a review was posted.

I would still like to try to resolve this issue. You can use our contact form at https://www.lilaeamedia.com/about/contact to post screen shots and details about your specific case.

Version 1.6.3 resolves this issue for Network Sites (WP Multisite). We’ve moved the CTC interface to the Network Admin so that only users with the ‘install_themes’ capability can create child themes.

I believe the ‘Cheatin uh?’ error may have been caused by previewing a child theme from a network site before it had been ‘nework enabled.’

Now multisite child themes must be ‘network enabled’ before they can be previewed via the Parent/Child tab and can only be accessed via the Network Admin.

If this error occured on a single site install of WordPress then we will need to investigate further but unless we receive additional reports of this error it is considered resolved.

    Thanks,

Thanks very much. It occurred on multisite but it’s working now.
