    I removed the plugin and then reinstalled.

    I went to the feed page. I tried to make a google products feed, XML. I clicked create. It hung for about 2 minutes. Then it just returned a blank page. Did not create anything?

    I do have 90k products, could that be an issue?

    Thanks

  • @jasonmos,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    To be honest, 90K of products is quite a bit, however our plugin will process all those products in batches so in theory it should be possible to handle those amounts. That being said if you are running on an older version of PHP (I would advise at least PHP 7.0) and have a lot of unique product attributes and categories changes will become slim that you’ll get it to work.

    In order to understand how you configured your product feed and what your server configuration is I need your help.

    Could you go to the “Manage feeds” page and add this to your URL &debug=true

    Your URL should look something like this now:
    ….wp-admin/admin.php?page=woosea_manage_feed&debug=true

    On the screen you should now see a box with a red line on the left side. Could you copy / past the content of that box and e-mail it to me at [email protected]

    Thank you very much.

    All the best,
    Joris

    I see I’m running PHP 5.6. I assume this is a problem?

    Hi Jason,

    Unfortunately, yes it is. Your server will most likely run into a time-out on PHP 5.6. Version 7.0 is about 10 times faster processing products (next to significantly speeding-up your website).

    I would advise you to upgrade.

    Joris

    I updated to PHP Version 7.1.13. However, I am still getting this error after trying to create a feed.

    This page isn’t working
    example.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    Hi Jason,

    Could you go to the “Manage feeds” page and add this to your URL &debug=true

    Your URL should look something like this now:
    ….wp-admin/admin.php?page=woosea_manage_feed&debug=true

    On the screen you should now see a box with a red line on the left side. Could you copy / past the content of that box and e-mail it to me at [email protected]

    Thx,
    Joris

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for sending over the debug.log. It says you are actually still on PHP 5.6 and not 7.1? Also please upgrade to version 2.0.4 of the plugin, it is a bit faster.

    Array
    (
    [PHP] => 5.6
    [Wordpress] => 4.9.1
    [WooCommerce] => 3.2.6
    [WooCommerce Product Feed PRO] => 2.0.3
    )

    Thx

    When I look at the new log file, it says:

    [PHP] => 7.1
    [Wordpress] => 4.9.1
    [WooCommerce] => 3.2.6
    [WooCommerce Product Feed PRO] => 2.0.3

    I upgraded to 7.1. Upgraded to 2.0.4. I also emailed you the log.

    I ran the feed again got 500 error screen.

    Does it try to generate feed for the entire 90K products at once?

    Thanks, Jason

    Hi Jason,

    The plugin processes the products in batches, depending on the amount of products you have in your woocommerce store.

    Where in the configuration of the feed do you encounter the 500 error, immediately after the first screen?

    Thx,
    Joris

    I select the Country, XML, etc. Hit the enter button. It processes for about 2 minutes and then gives the 500 Error.

    Hi Jason,

    It should open the ‘attribute mapping’ screen. The only reason I can think for it giving a 500 error is that the server ran into a timeout because you have a lot of attributes. Could that be true?

    Thx,
    Joris

    No, there are no attributes.

    No product attributes at all?

    If you want I can have a look for you in your environment. Just ‘grant access’ in the plugin settings and I will try finding out what is going on.

    All the best,
    Joris

    @jasonmos I will close the issue for now. Let me know when you need more help.
