Can't connect / translate custom taxonomy terms

Interesting. It seems that these attributes are a kind of group-able taxonomies, right? There is no problem if there is at least a taxonomy in the groups. I will look into this in the next days… First I have to understand how this mechanism works. In the meanwhile please report the issue here: https://github.com/lloc/Multisite-Language-Switcher/issues
