    I just upgraded to WordPress 3.4. Since then i can’ connect to www.remarpro.com. Every time i search plugin/theme from my site, this words always comes up:

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    And then from the Dashboard, my RSS always error (WordPress Blog & Other WordPress News), like this:

    RSS Error: The data could not be converted to UTF-8. You MUST have either the iconv or mbstring extension installed. Upgrading to PHP 5.x (which includes iconv) is highly recommended.

    Can someone help me. ??

  • That’s a server issue – not a WordPress one. It sounds like your hosts are blocking the calls to www.remarpro.com. Try contacting them for assistance.

    But why my previous WordPress (WordPress 3.3.1) don’t have these kind of problem? In fact, i upgraded WordPress 3.4 from my site (WordPress 3.3.1). I was not using FTP. And also i think my host already installed PHP 5.x.

    Yes, i’m also waiting from my host’s respond.

    I honestly can’t answer that. I do know that there have no major changes in that way that your site communicates with www.remarpro.com in 3.4. In theory, this should all still work perfectly. What we can’t rule out is a change being made to your server shortly after you carried out the upgrade. so a quick word with your hosts might help here.

    In the meantime, try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. for max effect, do delete old files & folders rather than over-writing them.

    OMG same error “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums”

    I have been on the phone for hours with my Host and they can not help me. I deleted all my files and reinstalled WordPress and I still get the error. Now I have no website and a very upset client (which is my husbands real estate firm) Help anyone….over worked and stressed out mom, and site administrator.

    @gingermarie

    You’re more likely to get helpful responses if you start your own thread rather than hijacking an existing one. The OP in this thread had some issues you probably do not have. You may also want to post a link to the site so that others can view the issue and perhaps give you some idea about what might be happening.

    And, how do I start a new thread???

    Log in, go to this page: How-To and Troubleshooting and click the “Add New” button right next to the title. That will let you start a new topic.

    @esmi

    you’re right. The problem is at my host. Thank you.

    Just so you guys know, I had the same issue and found out that it was my BackUpWordpress plugin using up all of the database memory. So, it could be one of your plugins causing madness.

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at tem1228001251395.db.9941633.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    The above continue to respond to my connection to nusjournal.com my website on wordpress hosting
