I started to connect to PayPal, got the PayPal popup, got most way through the Q&A on PayPal about my business account, but didn’t have my SS # handy. Came back later after I got my SS # and tried again to connect to PayPal. This time the popup lets me login to PayPal and just takes me to my PayPal home screen and doesn’t resume the connection process. Can’t figure out how to complete the plugin connection to PayPal.

I’ve tried clearing cookies, trying a new browser, deleting and restoring this plugin and also Events Calendar. Nothing helps. Worked my way through all the documentation and this forum…nada.

Is there a way to get PayPal to connect?

    Hi @nductiv ,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to learn of the difficulties.

Have you tried completing your PayPal setup by logging in to https://paypal.com prior to connecting PayPal on your website?

@tristan083 – yes that was the first thing I tried. No luck.

I’ve noticed that other WP plugins that interface to PayPal have a second connection method available as a backup… the ability to manually enter PayPal API Key, Merchant ID and API secret into the plugin settings. Is that possible with Events Tickets?

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Hi @nductiv

Could you check your browser console to see if there are errors when connecting to your PayPal?

Please also provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Event Tickets

Sorry @d0153 – Had to move on to a different solution – WooCommerce, Eventin and WC PayPal Payments. That solution allowed me to connect to PayPal easily. My client needed their site up and running and I couldn’t wait. Not ideal, but it works fine.

    Thanks anyway for the suggestions.
