For some reason yesterday I disconnected the Facebook sharing on jetpack on my site https://p-walker.org and now I cannot reconnect. I also can’t connect to Twitter. Every time I click the “connect” button which is supposed to redirect to the twitter/facebook application, it just stops loading on a blank white page.

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins except jetpack, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it. I’m not sure what else to try, but this feature is the main reason I have jetpack installed, so I’d appreciate any help to fix this issue.

Could you tell me any more about the site? Is there any server-side caching involved?

In debugging the site, it fails at the stage where we verify the communication between the two servers, which can suggest there is a loadbalancer, or caching server, or something like that between where the php is being excuted and the outside world.

    Thanks!

I’m not sure, how do I find out if that’s an issue? I will ask my host about it

Please do. If you need to share additional information privately, feel free to reach out to us via https://jetpack.me/contact-support/

My initial guess is that the value of $_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'] may be different than what we’re expecting, so when we’re verifying the signature, it is failing. If you could ask your host more about your setup, that would be great!

    Cheers!

Apparently I didn’t try to “disconnect from WordPress.com” on the main jetpack page, once I did that and reconnected, I was able to connect both Facebook and Twitter.

    Thanks for your help ??
