Cant connect to Facebook

    Please i have been trying to connect my jetpack publicize to facebook but when i try it just tells me “An error occurred while connecting the account” and i have no idea what else to do. Please help

    For now, we recommend manually sharing to Facebook.

    I have this problem too, first publications did’t arrive on my page and then i tried to disconnect facebook and connect it again, but can’t there is “An error occurred while connecting the account.” error.

    Twitter works fine tho.

    My Facebook Page for my reviewing blog stopped automatically posting yesterday, now it’s disconnected and won’t reconnect.
    Any idea on a timescale for this being fixed?
    My settings on Facebook are correct and have the “Allow WordPress to post” ticked.

    Okay, this is now no longer the case, at Facebook’s end, this is now missing so I’m wondering if this is part of the problem if they’re mucking about with pages.

    I have had and am having the same problem as mirrigold.

    Is there any time-line on when this will be fixed

    No, the issue is on Facebook’s end, so the very first thing that needs to happen is to get a reply from our contact at Facebook. So far, we have not received a reply.

    Considering there is nothing we can do ourselves about this except continue to email them, there will probably be no timeline, and just an “it’s fixed” email, which we will of course report here when that happens.

    Hi there @alpturco we’re wondering that too, of course.

    As mentioned earlier, the issue is on Facebook’s end, so the very first thing that needs to happen is to get a reply from our contact at Facebook. So far, we have not received a reply.

    That is still the case, and we will update this when we know more.

    I also can’t connect and only see the “Manage Pages” option in the pop-up when connecting but checked my Business Integrations page and see all the other options are enabled. Please let us know when there’s a fix. Thanks!

    I was just able to reconnect. Yay!!! maybe you can too. just go to the normal methods on your WordPress platform and see if it works.
