Cant connect to Facebook

This should be fixed now.

Ok, thanks for confirming.

In that short amount of time, we’ve confirmed that some people do see the option in the linked screenshot, and some people don’t.

So it seems the folks on Facebook’s end are switching a few things around, and that’s probably the source of the problem.

We’re still waiting to hear back from our contact over there.

I have the same problem, been this way all day.

When will this error be corrected?

I’m experiencing the same issue on upmytech.com … I was able to connect Twitter & LinkedIn just fine and the automatic posting is working as it should. But I have the exact issue OP describes. Seems to go thru every step just fine, but the very last step is where it gives the error:

1) Click Connect (on the Facebook line)
2) Continue as (Me) pop up window – Log in With Facebook (clicked Continue)
3) What Pages do you want to use with WordPress? I have 2, I choose Up My Tech.
4) Click Done (Manage your Pages…)
5) You’ve now linked WordPress to Facebook (click OK)
6) Another pop-up “Connecting Facebook” … “Is this the account you’d like to connect?”… Shows Up My Tech … I click Connect button.
7) Pop up goes away and a few seconds later, There’s a red exclamation with “An error occurred while connecting the account.”

… I’ve done everything I can think of to resolve it for the past few days.

I sure hope someone can help!

I am having the same problem and have been having it all day. I am getting the same error message. “An error occurred while connecting the account.”

Same issue, same symptoms as @upmytech . Thanks for looking to fix this, hopefully Jetpack & Facebook can get this solved.

@macmanx It still aint working tried all your suggestions. I get the error when connecting to Facebook “An error occurred while connecting the account.” but it doesn’t say what error.

I followed all the steps and your tips??
