    I am webmaster of a lot of site Internet (i am French people)
    For some site you plugin is OK
    But for two sites i have the message below when i connect to my dropbox…
    An error (The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation.) occurred in trying to connect with Dropbox.
    What can i Do ?

    Hi,

    This is an error message from Dropbox. It indicates that there was an internal error on their server.

    When did you attempt to connect to Dropbox? If you attempt to connect again, does the same error occur?
    What version of UpdraftPlus are you using?
    Have the UpdraftPlus on those two sites ever been connected to Dropbox before, or is this the first time?

    Hi, sorry to jump in here but I’m having exactly the same issue so wonder if they are related. It has happened for 2 separate sites since yesterday attempting to connect to 2 separate DropBox accounts (first time connections)

    having an issues as well. my old site work.. new sites or if i attempt to reauthenticate with drop box it is not working.. getting an error
    An error (invalid_grant) occurred in trying to connect with Dropbox.

    Error details: code has already been used

    Please can you all retry again now? Dropbox have been having some problems at their end, but users seem to be getting through successfully now.

    Hi David, thank you for your response. I’ve tried again on one of my clients and in theory it says it has worked (just running a back up now) although I still got a warning window and this message after:

    Success: you have authenticated your Dropbox account (though part of the returned information was not as expected – your mileage may vary)400

    Everything else suggests it has now worked, however.

    If nothing happens I will get back but for now it all looks ok.

    I’m having the same problem on 3 different hosts as of this new version.

    It seems to work but the error message is always there.
    Dropbox API seems to work on another plugin I use, but I don’t think they use the newer API yet.

    Update: I can’t do backups to Dropbox on 2 of my new sites, and a old one I had to re-authenticate.

    So this error is preventing connection.
    I do hope it’s a temp glitch at dropbox and it’s sorted by Monday as I only use Dropbox which has been 100% reliable for many years for me.

    Hi,

    Dropbox are giving a lot of errors on their v1 API currently. Happily, we at UD were preparing a new release of UD for the start of next week that uses their v2 API. So, please give this a try and let us know if it works for you:

    I am using the latest version and what appears to be V2 API of Dropbox, but it was that which was failing.

    But I see a new version in the past hour or so: Version: 2.12.25.22
    That works 100% perfect again, so big thanks David if you’ve changed something – I’ve tested on the 3 sites which failed (2 new sites, 1 old one where I updated the API to V2).
