Apologies for that.
For accessing Canada Post APIs, you need to register with Canada Post. After registration is complete, you get Merchant user name, Merchant password, Customer number & Contract number.
How to register for Canada Post?
– Go to Canada Post web site.
– Click Join now.
– Click sign up to create your profile.
– Enter all the required details in the given registration form.
– Submit the registration form by clicking on Create profile Button.
After registration, you will get all the credentials from Canada post.
Merchant user name: Enter Merchant user name which is provided by Canada Post.
Merchant password: Enter Merchant password for the above Merchant user name.
Production key: Select the checkbox to send rate request to live server. If you do not select the checkbox, your rate request goes to test server(used for testing purpose).
Customer number: Enter Customer number which is provided by Canada Post.
Service Type: With this field, you can set a required service type for getting the rates. The available options are as given below:
Contract: It is the policy of Canada Post Corporation to contract for services with the objective of attaining the best overall value. Canada Post contracts with those who satisfy the Corporation’s objectives of obtaining services in a timely manner. Use Contract Shipping web services if you are a Canada Post commercial customer with a parcel agreement. For more information, See Contract Shipping.
Non-contract: For Solutions of Small Business customers, use non-contract shipping services to create, manage and process shipments—including labeling and inducting parcels for delivery. For more information, See Non-Contract Shipping.
Contract Number: Enter your contract number (provided by Canada Post) if you are selecting service type as Contract.
