This may be related to your site using a page caching plugin. Please flush your home page cache and then try again.”</span>

Sadly, I still have the same problem, even with only Site Kit or the default theme turned on.

Also, I have 3 errors in Health site: WordPress update available (6.5.3), REST API error detected and Your site was unable to complete a loopback request. Does any of this have to do with the sitekit error?

Appreciate the update @annalbirena. The REST API error regarding loopback requests could indeed be impacting Site Kit set up. In the event this is impacted by an corrupt .htaccess file, please visit your permalinks page (Settings > Permalinks) and press the “Save change” button. This will recreate a fresh .htaccess file for you. After doing so, please go ahead and attempt Site Kit set up once more.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. If the same error occurs, please share whether you see any REST related errors from your Site Health status once more. Please also expand on this error so it displays full details of this REST error from within your Site Health status.

@jamesosborne After doing that the same error occurs, this is the detail:

Loopback requests are used to execute scheduled events and are also used by built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability. The loopback request to your site has failed. This means that features that depend on it will not work properly.

Appreciate the update @annalbirena. cURL errors are typically hosting related, and based on this it looks like connections to your site are failing (hence the 443 http_request_failed error). Can you check with your hosting provider for any firewall or security feature that may be impacting your WordPress REST API?

@jamesosborne So, I need to contact Bluehost support, right?

Correct @annalbirena, you will need to reach out to Bluehost. At a stage when you’re not encountering any cURL errors from reviewing your Site Health status, you can then attempt Site Kit set up once more. When discussing this with Bluehost, you may wish to ask them to they have a Firewall or security feature such as ModSecurity active. If so, temporarily deactivate this when setting up the plugin.
