can't connect Jetpack to wordpress.com, get error message

    I can’t connect Jetpack to wordpress.com. I get the standard error message:
    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: The required “client_id” parameter is missing.

    I used to have Jetpack successfully, but then after a wordpress update I lost the ability to connect. Help, thanks!

    Could you try to deactivate Jetpack, delete it from your site from the Plugins menu, and then install it again from scratch?

    Let me know how it goes.

    Yes, that worked! First “Deactivate” and then the “Delete” option shows up (just saying this for anyone who might read this thread in the future, because I didn’t initially see the Delete option displayed).
