    Hi!
Since version 2.0 I can’t connect WooCommerce and Facebook. For some Facebook says that I should “Contact the admin of the Business Manager” to grant me the necessary permissions.

The thing is: I have admin acress for the page (as well as the ad account) via my Business Manager.

Facebook support is less than helpful.

    What can I do?

    Best,
    Franz

  • I have a same issue. I cannot access right page, Plugin says that I have no access but I am admin? Which right and how do you set correct rights.

    Hi @franz92,

I’m sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working as expected, and that you’ve had a hard time getting the support you need. I’m happy to help here!

A couple of days ago, we released a new major version of the plugin that – along with some updates on the Facebook side – hopes to resolve many of the connection issues people have faced.

Would you please make sure your plugin is up-to-date (version 2.0.1) and try again?

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

    Hi @granath,

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. Since you’re not the person who originally started this topic, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

    Hi Benjamin,
sadly not. I’ve updated, the error remains the same. I can choose the right business manager, pixel and catalouge in the connection process, but not the page.

It says: “You are not authorized to change these settings. Contact the admin of the Business Manager of “[ACCOUNT]” to get access.”

However, I do have full admin right for the page.

    Best,
    Franz

    Hi @franz92,

Thanks for confirming that you’ve updated to the latest version. Any improvements over the weekend?

If you’re still experiencing troubles connecting, could you provide a screenshot of the error message you’re seeing?

You alluded to being in touch with Facebook. Have you contacted Facebook directly? Did they give you any specific information about where they think the problem might lie?

    All the best,
    Benjamin

I am trying a different route right now: Getting added to the clients Business Manager as an admin, however it’s pretty clear that this is not the way access rights for third party contributors are intended to work in the Facebook ecosystem.

    Hi @franz92,

    Thanks for updating me!

Business Manager helps advertisers integrate Facebook marketing efforts across their business and with external partners, so getting added as a Business Manager admin might indeed be the correct solution to the problem.

Would you please let me know if it solves the issue?

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

    Hey @franz92 ,

It has been a while since we heard from you, so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved. If you’re still experiencing issues please take a look at our documentation for more information and create a new thread if you have further questions.

    Hi,
I am very aware what Business Manager is.

I am an admin in the business profile, the ad account, the page, the catalog, the pixel. The problem persists.

I even used teamviewer to connect to the clients PC and run through the setup. He is the original admin of all these accounts, but still the plugin doesn’t connect.

I’ve since spent 3 hours trying to get your plugin to work. I fail to understand why you had to break it with this new authentification method. :-/

    Best,
    Franz

    Hi @franz92,

I’m very sorry that updating to the latest version of the plugin has caused so many issues for you and the shop you’re working on.

The changes to version 2 of the plugin came as Facebook has been working to unify their offering: centralizing all settings and options, rather than have ad accounts in ad manager, pixels in events manager, catalogs in catalog manager, shop pages, and shop admins. Now, the majority of assets as Facebook calls them, are all contained in a single Business Manager account. This adds greater flexibility for adding users, specify what access they should have, and really, giving shop owners greater control from a single screen. Admittedly, the ride has been a bit bumpy, but the end goal is a better experience all around.

You’ve said you’re still having trouble – it sounds like maybe even though you’ve been given Business Manager access, FBE isn’t letting you select the page. Is that what’s happening?

    Cheers,
    Benjamin
