    Hi,

I have a lot of sites (44) on my wordfence central account, most of them on the same provider (A2) and all of them behind cloudflare.
Several days ago, one of my sites, https://fedevo.ro started to loose connection with wordfence central.
I’ve disconnected the site, I’ve deleted wordfence plugin (database cleaning included), I’ve reinstalled the plugin, I’ve placed the rules in the cloudflare’s firewall panel (but all the other sites doesn’t need that rules).
When trying to add the site, wordfence central says: “Unable to confirm url”.
I’ve checked the previous discussions here on the same topics but I did not find a solution (REST API seems to be ok, cloudflare rules in place etc.)

    Could you help?
    Thank you,

Hi @dccorp, thanks for getting in touch.

It sounds like you’ve been quite thorough with your troubleshooting so far, but I will provide some standard instructions that are normally successful below in case you haven’t been through that exact order of attempting to reconnect to Central.

    • Head over to Wordfence Central.
    • Go to the Connection Issues tab.
    • Clear out any sites that might be in here.
    • Visit your site and log in as an admin.
    • Navigate to and select Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Clear all Wordfence Central connection data.
    • After clearing the connection data, from the Wordfence Dashboard, click on “Connect this site” in the Wordfence Central widget.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/central/connect/#troubleshooting-connection-issues also has some troubleshooting steps that may help you.

If nothing works for you, please could you send a diagnostic from the site in question that you’re having trouble with? You can send the diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Hi, it seems the connection was reestablished after Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Clear all Wordfence Central connection data, but also I could swear I already did that before, and also, for sure, I’ve uninstalled wordfence plugin (with database clearance option set) and reinstalled from scratch…

Anyways, I’ll keep an eye on it, because this site worked in wordfence central for almost a year, beside a lot of other similar sites, without any issue, and suddenly, without any obvious reason, the connection was gone and trying to reconnect it gave that strange error: “unable to confirm url”.

Thank you very much for your work, to all the wordfence team !

I’m having a similar issue – I have 6 sites, all on the same host

2 of them, I updated the SSL cert the other day (same SSL cert company) – one is fine, the other had a connection issue..

I’ve followed all the steps above, but cannot get it re-linked to WordFence central

    The error I get is:
    Unable to resolve domain redirects

I notice under Tools/Diagnostics, I get this, in the Connectivity section:

    Connecting back to this site
wp_remote_post() test back to this server failed! Response was: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

I don’t have this error on the other sites

under Debugging, I unticked the SSL verification, but it still didn’t do anything!

    any other ideas? ??

    Thanks,
    Rohan.
