After installing Ultimate Social Media PLUS, the configuration page comes up, but the wheel just keeps spinning and spinning. Using a Firefox plugin to remove the spinning wheel layer, a page with all the options laid out serially is revealed, although nothing works. However, at the bottom of the page is an error message stating:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function date_diff() in /home/content/i/n/d/redacted/html/redacted/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-social-media-plus/libs/controllers/sfsi_socialhelper.php on line 506”

I’m guessing the issue is that the PHP is out of date (older than 5.3), but as a customer of a website builder who is a customer of a hosting service, I only have access to WordPress on this site, so I can’t update much. Is the date_diff function really needed? Hopefully you guys can easily word around this issue and release an update that will work.

  • Hi FSCG, yes, then it’s the PHP version. We need PHP 5.4 or above. Cannot you suggest your client to upgrade? It’s also suggested for security purposes etc.
