Can’t complete Updraft backup. Unreadable file

Unreadable files don’t stop the backup completing – they’re just not included in it.

Understand the unreadable file does not stop the backup; however, I have had my domain for about two years and this warning message has only started appearing recently. I do not use wpforms and have deleted that plugin.

Any way to remove this warning which shows up each day during backup?

It doesn’t seem like this issue was resolved. I’ve always gotten a copy of the backup emailed to me. Since I’ve deleted WPFORMS today, I get this error and no backup is emailed.

What is the solution to this issue? Is there a way to remove all traces of WPFORMS if that’s what’s required so that UPDRAFT functions as expected?

I am getting the same error message still. I tried deleting the file and I still get errors. Please advise.

I honestly don’t know what happened, but it seems to be working fine now again. Updraft updated a few days after I posted for help and it seemed to work. Maybe it just wasn’t compatible with my WP version for a little while, although it said it was compatible. I would guess it will suddenly just work again. Fingers crossed. Although, that’s not much help when you need it now. I never got anyone on here to reply. You can try on FB to see if anyone will help you. There are a few WP groups on FB you can ask for help. Someone in those groups generally replies fairly quickly. The group “WPBeginner Engage – WordPress Help for Non-Techies” has helped me a few times.

@tww2021 Thanks for the comments! I wound up deleting WPForms altogether. It was just too much of a headache. I will use another plugin like Hubspot from here out. I was able to get a backup at least after that. I will look into the FB group. Thanks for the tip!

I am getting the exact same error! Could someone tell me how to delete that file? I always do all my creation and editing through wordpress so I don’t know how to access any directory. Thank you!
