    Hi,

Firstly, love this widget and the support you provide is great.

However, I’m using wordpress 4.0 and TinyMCE 2.1.6 and cannot access the ‘Visual’ tab within the widget. It defaults to ‘Text’ and the visual tab doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried this in pagebuilder without pagebuilder.

My theme is Vantage Premium if that makes a difference.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,
I’m not having any issue with Vantage theme 1.2.3 (free version), BSTW 2.1.6 and WP 4.0 (with and without Page Builder), so there’s probably a conflict with another plugin (or unlikely with the premium version of the theme). Please check our FAQ about troubleshooting and provide further details.

    Hi Marco,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I’ve rolled back to TinyMCE 1.4.8 and the issue is resolved (after trying more recent versions too), although I cannot scroll in the editor itself. It doesn’t seem to be a pagebuilder issue.

I have deactivated all other plugins other than page builder and TinyMCE (2.1.6) and it didn’t fix the issue. I still can’t click on the ‘Visual’ tab.

I’ve reported to SiteOrigin too. If the rollback makes the plugin work again, I’m assuming its an issue with TinyMCE?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi James,
the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin has been reimplemented from scratch from version 1.x to 2.x, so now there could be compatibility issues that were not present with older versions. The new version should ensure an overall better compatibility with recent WP versions and 3rd party plugins, but unfortunately there could be particular cases when problems may arise.
Please could you try to temporarily switch to another theme, to check if there could be a conflict with the premium version of the Vantage theme?
Also, could you try to take a look at your browser javascript console?
If you can provide a full copy of your site (i.e. made with Duplicator) or admin access to it, I could try to debug the issue.

    Hi Marco,

Where should I send the admin access details to?

Thanks very much for your assistance.

And sorry, yes, have tried with twentyfourteen and it didn’t make a difference unfortunately.

    Hi James,
I took a look at your site and the widgets works fine for me, so I think there’s something related to your specific browser or account. Also, it seems that the theme customizer has some glitches while still working (this is caused by the “Customizer” plugin,if you disable it, even the theme customizer is fine).
I’d suggest you to try with a different browser and/or make a full cleanup of your browser data (cache + cookies). Also you may try to login with a different account.

    Hi Marco,

Thanks for taking a look. I can get it to work in Firefox, but after cleaning data from Chrome it still won’t work for some reason.

Not a problem, I’ll just have to use Firefox. Odd!

Thanks very very much for your help.

Yes, that is odd! By the way I used Chrome in my tests and it was fine, so it’s not a general issue related to Chrome, but it’s probably something related to your Chrome instance. Maybe you have some browser extension which is interfering. You may try with an incognito window too.

Great idea with the incognito window – and of course, it works!

So now I just need to figure out what… I only have a few extensions so hopefully will be quick…

Thanks again for your help, very much appreciated.
