Can’t Click on Anything in IE

  • Hello,

    You can see my wordpress install at https://masonvotes.gmu.edu/blog

    The install seems to be working fine in every browser but IE. For some reason, in IE only, the only things you can click on are the top link to the main site and the footer link for podpress.

    It works fine in every other browser, but I expect many people to be using IE to view the site, and I need it to work for that browser as well. I’m at a loss to figure out what could be causing this issue just for IE.

    The theme is Patriotic (2 columns). Plugins running are: Akismet, Lijit Search, podPress, and Video widget.

    Can anyone help?

  • ie what version? because in ie6, the links are clickable for me. what IS broke is your layout though, with the sidebar at the bottom.

    It was IE7. You were right, the error lay in the code generated by <?php wp_footer(); ?> and I removed that and it worked fine. However, that was auto-generated by the podPress plug-in and I’ve seen the same exact line working fine on at least a half-a-dozen other sites.

    I took a look at the code from the validation you linked me for the footer that was causing the issue:

    I’m not sure what the problem is, can you point it out for me? I’d like to fix it and put the footer code back up, to properly credit them for the plug-in.
