On the event calendar site, i can’t change the calendar view between list, month and day.

The link that is generated looks like this?: /event/(/?:list)/ – /event/(/?:month)/ and /event/(/?:today)/

I have the latest versions of wordpress and The event calendar plugin.

My site is running on wpengine

    Hi @kjetilwaage ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

To better understand the situation, could you please share the direct URL to the page you’re having issues with? Please do not share any credentials, this is for us to follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

In the meantime, kindly try regenerating your permalinks and see if that alleviates the situation.

    Hi @kjetilwaage ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

    Thanks for the answer ??
I have now tested everything in that guide without it working.

I changed to the default theme.
Deactivated all plugins except the calendar.
    Cleared cache.
Tried opening the page in incognito mode.

I did some experimenting under Permalinks, and if I changed the Permalink structure to “Plain” it worked fine.
If I change back to “Post name” the links are broken again?

    Hi @kjetilwaage

    Thanks for your response.

I tried to access your website, but it looks like the site access you provided is no longer working.

If you can replicate the issue on a staging site, please try the following steps:

    1. Uninstall our plugins and reinstall them.
    2. Change the permalink structure to Post name.
    3. Go to Events > Settings > Viewing and click the Save Changes button.
    4. Check if this resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, please provide the versions of the following so I can investigate further:

    • WordPress and PHP
    • The Events Calendar
    • Site Language (found in Settings > General)

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @kjetilwaage

I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to touch base and check in with you. It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from you. I was just curious if you had the chance to try out the recommendation provided above.

Let me know if there’s anything I can assist you with.

I have done everything you wrote above, but the same problem occurs.
I’ve changed my password back, so you can log in and look again if you want?

    Hi @kjetilwaage ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

Perhaps we’re approaching this from the wrong perspective. Could you please try and set the site’s language to English and see if the issue persists?

If it does alleviate the situation, could you check if the list, month, and today strings are properly translated in the Norsk locale using translation plugins like Loco Translate?

WOOW! I got it working now!

    Here is what i did..
I had Norwegian as the main language on the page.
I went in and deactivated the GTranslate plugin without the error being resolved.
After that I deactivated GTranslate and changed the page language to English. Then the links suddenly worked fine.
Then I set the language back to Norwegian and then activated the GTranslate plugin again and now it seems to work fine? ??
    Thanks for your help
