Help! Our event had to be postponed due to COVID-19, but when I went to change all the task dates, upon trying to save I got a long list of error messages saying the dates can’t be changed because there are people signed up for those tasks. How can I get around this? I just need to shift everyone to the new date. Thanks in advance. I’m sure there are others out there with the same issue!

Signups are tied to both a date and task in the database, and there is currently no function to change the date for a task and reassign all the signups. With recurring events, tasks can possibly have more than one date, which is why the signup must specify a date as well as a task (in the database).

You would have to clear the signups first, then change the task dates, and either sign the same people up again manually or ask them to signup again.

When we were using this for our school, we didn’t want the feature to be able to change dates and automatically change all the signups for the new dates, since we didn’t want to assume that the same people would be available on the same dates.
