can’t change status when creating a post

When I create a post using “Press this” and go into the standard text editor right away (e.g. when highlighting text from Feedly and going from there to the text editor) I can’t change the status of the post. When I create a post from within WordPress I can. What is the difference? And is there a way to change this behaviour?
UPDATE: I kind of solved the problem. When clicking on “edit” for the “visibility” and then “ok” or “cancel” the “edit”-button for the status appears. But I guess this is not intended behaviour.
