Can't change site title

    Hi,

    I just moved content from my previous domain to a new domain and imported database as well. But now I am experiencing a few problems, one of them: I can’t change site title (description can be changed).

    As soon as I tried to save the new site title, it will be changed back to the old one after saving. And it tells me “Settings saved” (No, it did not!). I have cleared cache and all, but still not working.

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

    Hi there BrendaW!

    Have you tried deactivating all you plugins or using a bundled theme like Twenty Fourteen/Fifteen to see if that issue still happens.

    It could be a potential caching plugin that may be causing that so deactivate that first to see if that helps.

    I did the same trick, but after activating plugins, the site title changes to old one. How can I fix that?

    In my case the issue coming from the WPML plugins and this can be solved by referring WPML forum

    I solved it by removing the string translations fore the blog title in the WP domain.”

    Hi everyone,

    I’m having the same issue with my site. When I try editing the site title, when I go to save changes, I get a 404 page error.

    I’ve tried disabling all the plugins, but that doesn’t make any difference. I looked at the WPML forum, but I don’t believe that applies in my case, since I’m not using multiple languages. (right?)

    Does anyone have another option?
