Can't change position of specific widget in side bar

I have a text widget (copy and pasted code for a facebook plugin) in my sidebar but I can’t change the position of it in my style.css file.

I’ve identified the div id through Firebug but when I write out the css code in my theme’s style sheet to change the position it just doesn’t respond.

I would like to move the facebook plugin to the right a bit to keep it inline with the other widgets in the side bar.
