Can't change month of calendar when used as widget

  • I’m attempting to put a calendar in a widget on my “Contact” dropdown but I am not able to cycle through the months. I have an event already in January and I added some for December as well. The calendar works correctly when viewed on its own page, but when I use it as a widget on the contact, it does not change months, but it does display events from my google calendar.

    How are you adding the widget? Are you using the “Simple Calendar” widget provided by the plugin?

    It seems somewhere the HTML is off because I should be able to find an element on your page source by searching default-calendar but it is not showing up there. It could be a DOM loading issue.

    I’m adding it by going to “Appearance” > “Widgets” in the WordPress dashboard, then dragging “Simple Calendar: Calendar” to the Contact Form Content Area. Here’s a screenshot of the area in question: https://i.imgur.com/nyD8dmM.jpg

    Using the same page on my dashboard, I dragged the Simple Calendar widget to a “Fixed Sidebar” area and reloaded the website and the calendar switched months correctly on the sidebar, yet still doesn’t do it when on the Contact Form dropdown.

    I just updated to 3.0.11 but am still experiencing the issue on the Contact widget. Could this be due to the fact that the contact section is dynamically dropped down on whatever page you’re on instead of a static widget on a page? It seems to function correctly if I add the calendar as a widget elsewhere. Only on the contact section am I unable to change months.

    Sorry I only looked at the calendar page before not the contact page. Yeah that’s likely what is causing it. Are you using some other plugin to make it dropdown dynamically like that?

    No plugin. It’s the built-in contact with my theme. I’m using Prophoto.
