Can’t change default privacy on multisite

  • I have buddypress and buddydrive network enabled. In the settings, the default privacy for new items is always saving as public. Is there any fix to this? I need them to be private by default.

    This only happens when buddypress and buddydrive are multisite network enabled. I fixed it by enabling buddypress and buddydrive only on my main site.

    I have the same problem – cannot save default privacy for new items as private, it always reverts to public. I didn’t try the workaround discovered by @mayzfieldtv, I would like to keep BP network activated on multisite.
