I guess depending on who you mean by "you", your comment isn’t exactly accurate. This plugin (and all my plugins) are designed for websites that have an international following. The visitor can easily select their preferred currency from among the half dozen or so that are supported.
You are correct however that the website owner will have to make one edit to a variable’s initial value in a source file if they do not want the "$" to be the default symbol.
I don’t understand why making this one change makes the plugin "useless?"
