Can’t Change Author

    Hi

    I’m building a site for someone else and need to change the author to them not me, but i can’t find a way to do this.

    Also I have a Post grid of the galleries showing the author meta and the date, but the author is not been pulled. the first 3 galleries were assigned to the first admin account but deleted that and assigned them to the correct account, but now the new galleries are leaving the author field blank.

    Also Changing the date in CPT make no difference to the date of the album. They are still in the order they are created

    Thanks for reaching out ,

    There is an option to auto-fill metadata (including author) for images in Global settings – author metadata will need to be set up in the properties of originally uploaded image,

    It will then be displayed in the image description upon editing the Gallery

    As for the sorting order – may we kindly ask for the URL of the page with the gallery with the issue and for the screenshot of sorting order settings?

    I already had that field set to yes, but I still cannot select the author for the galleries. Thus the post grid plugin cannot display the author apart from the first three that was set to the first admin account before it was removed and all posts assigned to a different account.

    I cannot show you the date sorting issue as my client has decided to go a different route and this has been removed.

    It looks like the data amended in the CPT areas are not changing on the Galleries part of your plugin.

    Could you please specify if it is not showing author metadata even for images with author set up in image properties?

    Sorry i don’t understand what you mean.

    It is not the image metadata that is the issue, its the gallery author especially the Galleries CPT author not getting detected or able to change it.

    When you click quick edit within the DPT you’d expect to see the author option.

    Urtunately, the product does not have the mentioned functionality yet. However, the feature you wish to have would be a great addition. So could you please add your suggestion to our Submit Your Idea page?
