Can’t bypass SeedProd Coming Soon page to get into admin site

    Hi all. I”m brand new here and am making a website for a friend. Don’t know how to code, have never used wordpress before. I installed SeedProd to make a Coming Soon page while I built the site, but when I published the Coming Soon page it wouldn’t show up when I went to the url; the unedited “hello world” home page template came up. I watched a video, which recommended clearing the caches. I stared with my Chrome browser history, and cleared *everything.* I’m guessing this was my big mistake.

    Now I can’t get into the admin page – every time I type in the wp-admin url, it takes me to the Coming Soon page. I looked into uninstalling the site from my friend’s hosting – A2 – by deleting files from c-panel, but I’m afraid I’ll delete something important at the same time.

    Part of the issue is clearly that I logged myself out of admin by clearing the caches. I saved the login for the site, but I can’t log into wordpress with the login info. It seems like I don’t have an account with thw info, which sort of makes sense because I didn’t make an account through wordpress – I installed it through softaculous in A2 hosting.

    @jenniferrose Can you check if you have a security plugin installed or customize WP admin login? If yes, access either hosting Manager or FTP. Just look for /wp-content/plugins/ Once done, try to check if you can log in the admin site

    If no such plugin installed or still not working after renaming it. Can you rename our plugin instead then check?

    Also, if you are unsure of the suggestions above, kindly contact your hosting provider.

    Thanks @pola11! I submitted a ticket with A2, and they gave me a the custom login URL that I then used to get back in.
