• I just went through the process of deactivating/reactivating all of my plugins to resolve an issue (I had been unable to preview/edit posts). Now I am unable to browse new plugins. When I put a something in the search bar (for new plugins) I get this message:
An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Any suggestions for me?

  • How did you deactivate/reactivate your plugins?

Did you edit any WP files?

I went to the plugin page and clicked “deactivate” for each plugin then returned and activated each one separately, checking to make sure I could see & edit my posts with each reactivation. I don’t think I edited any WP files…????

I contacted my web host (Host Gator) and they were of no help whatsoever. I need to know what to do because I cannot search for any plugins or activate Jet Pack. Can anyone help?

It’s possible you have a buggy plugin that may have altered some code somewhere along the way. I only use plugins from the WordPress plugin repository.

I would try, in this order:
    1. Deleting all plugins from within your plugins folder.
    2. Reinstalling your theme.
    3. Reinstalling WordPress.

All of these solutions require FTP access to your site. Do you have and FTP username and password?
