• Hi. I downloaded wordfence yesterday because I was being bombarded with hits from three IP addresses. I blocked them. But I still am getting traffic, according to my Google Analytics, from them. The wordfence user interface says that there are no blocked hits — no traffic — from those addresses. This is the message I am getting: “No attempts have been made to access the site since this IP was blocked.”

    The site is at https://www.dailymusicbreak.com

Any help would be welcome, thanks.

  • Have you checked and made sure that the ‘enable firewall’ option on the options page is checked? That enables those features.

Verify that and let me know.

ps Loved the site. That Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Army choir video was the most bizarre thing I have seen all week, well besides this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxzgwJ8tSE0

Tim, thanks very much for responding and thanks for the compliment on the site. I love the Leningrad Cowboys post. The funniest thing to me is the Red Army guys look overjoyed to be rocking out.

Yes, that video you linked to is bizarre, to put it mildly. Somebody else had mentioned it at some site earlier today…

The enable firewall option indeed was checked; The only relevant one that wasn’t is the one that guards against fake google crawlers. I’ll see how that works. Thanks very much again, and any other ideas certainly are welcome.

The Red Army choir reminded me of the opening ceremony at the Russian Olympics when they sang “Get Lucky”. Cracks me up thinking about it. ??

Tim, when you get a chance, check this out. This is ages old, but brilliant:
